“Big Bug Event”
Museum of Science and History – September 15, 2012
Nothing less than a BIG BASH would do, to introduce the latest addition to Corpus Christi’s Museum of Science and History! The museum opened its doors after hours to give the community a “sneak peak” at the new “Big Bugs” exhibit. For the children there were face painting and bug activity stations and for the child in all of us, the enormous robotic insects whirred and moved ominously amid a rainforest backdrop.
After passed hors d’oeuvres and cocktail selections, guests were invited to partake in the Brazilian BBQ station adorned with gigantic, glittering Praying mantis and Grasshopper. Capping the evening were mango flan topped with chocolate covered “ants” and bug-shaped decorated cookies passed by lab-coated “technicians” in goggles with milk in test tubes!
